You can also click on the events page for more details.HEC is a community of friends. We are both able-bodied and people with physical disabilities, who come together for fellowship. Throughout the year, we have social and spiritual afternoon get-togethers in the Denver area. Every summer, we gather at St. Malo Retreat Center in Estes Park for a weekend retreat. We share a lot of fun, love, laughter, tears, hugs and fresh outdoor mountain air and views! And all of this happens in God’s loving arms.
HEC is a non-denominational and loving community. We get together to be with Christ and our brothers and sisters, putting aside what we may be able or unable to do. We all have some sort of handicap, whether physical, emotional or mental. Being together just lets us remember how much Christ loves us all, no matter what “faults” we may have.
